Drew and I both took off work on Friday so that we could head to Jasper and get things ready for the party on Saturday. One of our neighbors was kind enough to wake us up at 3am Friday morning so we got an early start and left the house a little after 6am. (Neighbor was trying to get a rear wheel drive sports car out of there drive what and was simply spinning his tires and revving his engine. Drew when out to yell at him for waking us up and then helped him get the car out.) Once in Jasper we helped get things ready for the soups and went shopping to pick up some last minute things. Other then that we tried to enjoy the day some.
We kept Linda away from the Club until the party started by having her and Vince watch Emma while we set up. Thankfully it worked really well and she was completely surprised to find out that the party was for her as well. Drew was afraid that Linda would get mad because she kept saying that she did not want a party but she had a good time and enjoyed herself. I think we all had a good time visiting with Friends and Family and I know that Emma had fun playing with the other kids.
All in all a very long weekend but everything went as we hoped that it would. Hopefully Emma is not giving the babysitter to many problems today because she was off of her normal schedule all weekend.
Emma decided to share her cake with some of the other kids. In the picture above she is feeding some of her cake to Chase. In the picture below from L to R Avery,Gavin, Adi, and Chase are helping her eat the icing. The only part of the cake that actually got eaten was the very top.
Emma really was not to interested in opening up her presents so some of the other kids helped her with them.
