Vacation

Drew and I took off work last week and we all went on a vacation of sorts. We did not go anywhere extravagant but it was still nice being able to spend some time together as a family and not having to go into work.

Drew had to work the weekend so we left on Sunday and headed for Spring Mill. Vince and Linda meet us there and we had a late lunch and then they took Jessie home with them. We stayed at the Inn Sunday and Monday night and then headed to Jasper on Tuesday. It was really nice at Spring Mill and we all had a good time walking around the village and swimming. Also Emma learned how to properly go down stairs on her own while at Spring Mill. We do not have many steps at home and there were some there so we took the opportunity to teach her how to safely go down the stairs.

Then on Wednesday Mom and Dad watched Emma while Drew and I went to Holiday World. It rained some Wednesday morning so we thought about waiting and going on Thursday but in the end we decided to go despite the rain. I’m glad that we went on Wednesday because Thursday was really really hot. Thursday morning Drew and Dad went fishing while Emma and I helped Mom pick out an outfit to wear for her interview that afternoon. When mom got back from her interview all of us headed over to Vince and Linda’s to eat supper and play some cards.

Friday Drew, Emma and I headed over to Vince and Linda’s again to spend some time with Linda. Vince had to work. Emma stayed over at Vince and Linda’s while Drew and I went out to eat and stayed at the Hampton Inn for the night. Our 4th Anniversary is this Thursday so we celebrated a little early. On Saturday we spent some more time with Vince and Linda and then headed back home. Thankfully we were able to get back home before the storms hit on Saturday.

Sunday morning we took Emma to the park to play and then it was back home so that Emma could take a nap and Drew could get some more sleep before having to go back to work.
