28 Weeks and Vacation

I had my 28 week Dr Apt last Wednesday and finally got the results of the blood sugar and other tests today.  Everything came back normal and little guy's heartbeat sounded great.  He is very active especially when I'm sitting down.  We already know that he is a stubborn little guy.  Up until last week he would not let Drew or Emma feel him moving.  I could put my hand on my stomach and he would continue to move but as soon as Drew or Emma put their hands on my stomach to feel him he would immediately stop moving.  Drew was able to feel him moving at my apt last week and Emma was able to feel him over the weekend.  Emma thought that was the coolest thing to feel him kicking.

Thursday and Friday Drew and I decided to play hooky from work.  We both just needed a break and we figured it would probably be our last chance to do something special with Emma.  On top of that Emma has finally started to stay dry at night.  In the last 3 weeks she has only woke up wet 3 times.  We decided to go to the Great Wolf Lodge in Cincinnati/Mason, OH for a couple of nights.  Emma wore Drew out going on all of the slides.  It took her a little while to warm up to them but once she did the minute she got off one she wanted to go on another one.  Another thing that Drew and Emma really enjoyed doing was the Magic Quest game that they had.  I was not able to do a whole lot but it was great being able to spend some quality time with the family and watch them have fun.

Here are a couple of pictures of the water park.  I was not able to take the camera into the water park at all because there were really no areas inside that were dry enough for me to feel comfortable not to ruin my camera.

 Playing Magic Quest.  Basically you bought a wand and then you could play different quests with it.  The quests were located in the main part of the hotel on three different floors.  On top of that there were other things in the restaurants and around the hotel that would come on if you pointed the wand at them. The nice things is that you can use the wand to play Magic Quest at most of the other Great Wolf Lodge locations and a few independent locations as well.

 One other thing that they had was an animated clock tower show.  Emma really enjoyed the show.  So much so that we sat through it 3 times in the 2 nights we were there.
