If you will recall we had a water pipe leak in our house the end of January very beginning of February that had to be fixed and in order to fix it they had to tear up part of our carpet. We turned it into the insurance and two Fridays ago they came back to us to say that they would cover replacing all of the carpet and about half of the repair costs of the water pipe. This was great news because when we first checked with the insurance they said they probably would not cover anything. We will be replacing the carpets along with the flooring in our kitchen and front entry the end of May.
Since we do not have to spend our money to replace the carpet we were able to get a new bedroom suite which we had been planning on getting before the water leak happened. The new bedroom suite was delivered to our house on Friday and mom and dad came up on Sunday to take the old one back to Vince and Linda. Also they brought up some of the bedroom furniture from my room and we moved that into Emma's room. Now Emma has all new bedroom furniture and we have the nursery furniture moved into the 3rd bedroom. Now if we only had a second child to put it to use. Oh well one of these days.
The bad news is that Drew got into a car accident on his way to work Friday night. He was going through an intersection and some drunk lady decided to make a left turn in front of him. He hit her but it was her fault. They took her to jail and she is being charged with 2 felonies and 3 misdemeanors, apparently she blew a .22 for blood alcohol. On the plus side Drew walked about without a scratch on him. He is a little sore but we took him to the emergency room to get checked out and no injuries. We turned it into our insurance and are letting them go after her insurance. In the next couple of days we figure they will total his car so we will be getting a new vehicle.
