Last Tuesday I decided to stop threatening to do it and actually put some of it on her thumb. Knowing that it was on there she kept her thumb out of her mouth but made it clear that she was not happy about it. That night at supper she put some food in her mouth using her fingers and got a good taste of the stuff. Needless to say after that she did not want to eat anymore food and the night just went downhill from there. On the up side we have yet to see her put her thumb in her mouth since then.
Hopefully that one time broke her from sucking on her thumb. The downside is that without the thumb sucking it has been a real bear trying to get her to go to sleep. Take the good with the bad I guess.
Emma wanted to play in the snow that we got last week so while Drew and I worked on Supper we let her go play in the snow on the deck. That is where it was deepest anyway. Here are a few pictures of her shoveling the snow off our deck.
