Friday we headed to Jasper for the Schroering and Hartings Christmas parties. While we were down there we also had Christmas with Linda, visited with some of Dad's brother's and sisters, and went and introduced Freddy to Betty.
We headed to Jasper around 6am on Friday because that is when Freddy was done eating. When we got down there we stopped at Mom and dads to feed Freddy again and get the kids dressed then headed over to Linda's for a couple of hours.
Emma received her new bike for Christmas from Linda and Tony. It is a 16" bike and with the seat all of the way down she can peddle it without a problem. Her steering leaves something to be desired though. Also while we were their Linda took Emma out on the sled for a little while.
Saturday I ended up getting sick in the morning so Drew took the kids over to see Betty by himself. He said that Betty really enjoyed seeing the kids and spent the entire time they were their holding Freddy.
Saturday night I was feeling better so some of Dad's family came over to visit and play cards. It is always nice to see and spend time with them. Also Saturday Drew took Emma outside to build a snowman and to go sled riding at mom and dad's house. I watched from the window since I was not feeling well. It really looked like she was having a blast.
Sunday we went to the Schroering family party for a couple of hours and then headed to the Hartings party. Emma had a lot of fun playing with all of her cousins at both parties. Santa even came to the Hartings party and gave presents to the kids. When we saw Santa before Emma did not want anything to do with him but she did not hesitate to so see him at the Hartings party.
We headed back to Indy on Monday and ended up driving through some nasty weather but made it back safely. Now it is back to the grindstone.
