Weekend and the Babysitter

Our first trip to Jasper went really well. I forgot a few things here at home and had to make a quick trip into the store when we got there but that was no big deal. Emma slept the entire way there and the entire way back which was nice even though she was very hungry by the time the trips were over. Friday night Dad’s brother and sisters came over to their house to meet Emma and then on Saturday Vince and Linda had a party with their family and friends so Emma meet a lot of new people over the weekend. She did great with everybody. Then on Sunday we went back over to mom and dad’s house because Aunt Barbara and Cousin Aubrey were home. Emma and Aubrey were able to play together some. For better or worse Aubrey thought Emma was more of a toy then anything and Barbara and I had to pull her off of Emma quite a few times. We did get some cute pictures of the two of them though.

I dropped Emma off at the babysitters house this morning for a few hours so that they can get used to each other. It feels kind of weird not coming back home with her and the idea that she is being looked after by someone I really do not know extremely well. It is not that I do not trust who we chose to watch her it is just that I would much rather still have her with me. I can honestly say that I'm not ready to go back to work on Monday. Before Emma was born I really thought that I would go stir crazy at home for 6 weeks but now I can honestly say that I would like to take off a little longer and spend some more time with her. Now is when she is really starting to change and I do not want to miss out on all of those little changes.
