Work, Food and Play

Drew in now officially a working man. Last week was his first week at the Clarian Blood Bank. So far it seems like it will be a job that he will enjoy. From the way he is talking there will be different things to do every day. Until the end of August he will be on the day shift working only during the week while he is training. After that he will switch to night shift and start working some weekends. I wish that I could say the same about enjoying my job. The last month or so there really has not been anything to do which makes for some very long days and weeks. Oh well it is a job at least and right now I'm just thankful to be getting a paycheck.

On to Emma. Emma is now eating baby food twice a day which means 1 jar a day. So far we have given her green beans, sweet peas, and squash and she has liked all of them. The only downsides to the baby food is that her digestive system is having a little trouble adjusting but that is getting better. Other then that we just have colored spit ups now.



Emma is also becoming more and more playful. Last weekend Drew draped covers over her floor mat to make it into a tent which Emma thought was fun. Also she really likes to play in her bouncer seat now. She has figured out how to get the music to play and just goes to town when we put her in there. For the most part we try not to put her in it for awhile after she ate because she has a tendency to spit up when she is in there. She can roll onto her tummy with no problems now but she still cannot seam to get back onto her back very well. On of these days she will get it and then she will be going everywhere.
