Santa and the Zoo

Vince and Linda came up on Saturday so we decided to go to the Zoo for awhile. Christmas at the Zoo started the first weekend in December and since it was a little warmer on Saturday we decided it would be a good day to go and check it out. We went over around 3pm even though most things did not start until 5pm. Most of the animals were not out but we still had a good time. When everything started we went to see Santa and thankfully Emma did great. She went to Santa without any problems though I'm not sure that she really knew what to think of him.

Look how tall I'm getting. This is my attempt at a 10 month picture of Emma.

Sunday morning after Emma woke up from her morning nap we went over to the hotel that Vince and Linda stayed at and played in the pool for a little bit and then went out to Eat before Vince and Linda headed home. Over all it was a very nice weekend.

One other thing that happened this weekend is that Emma took 2 steps on her own (not holding on to anything). This last week or so she has really been starting to let go of things and try to stand on her own. Normally it only last for a couple of seconds before she falls down. Last night she was playing on the floor and Drew was sitting on the couch with the foot rest up. Emma went over and pulled herself up on the foot rest and then she let go and took a 2 steps before falling down. Drew and I could hardly believe what we saw. Emma is only 10 months old and it just does not seam like she should be trying to walk on her own yet. Boy are we in trouble once she gets her balance figured out.
