Kalahari Resort

Last week we took a small vacation and went up to the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, OH. Supposedly they have one of the biggest indoor water parks so we went to play in the water. Mom and Dad were supposed to come with us but Mom was not able to get off work so dad came with us and mom stayed at home. We left Thursday morning and came back on Sunday. The trip up took us around 6 1/2 hours with all of the stops but Emma did great and surprisingly she stayed dry the entire way up.

It was really nice having dad come with us becuase then there was always someone to look after Emma while the other two were able to go and enjoy the slides.

Here are some different pictures from inside the water park

Playing in the Kiddie area. Emma had a lot of fun going down the slides. All children under 48" had to wear a live jacket at all times in the water. In the picture below she had just hit the bottom of the slide and all you can really see is the big splash that she made.

Drew riding the wave runner

Drew, Emma and I playing in the wave pool
The also had a huge arcade and Emma fell in love with the Bert and Ernie fire engine. We had to go though the arcade to get to the water park and everytime Emma just had to get on the fier engine.

Along with the water park they had a dry play area for the younger kids. Emma was not really interested in playing it is however I think that it would be a blast for kids that were a year or so older.

Drew is already talking about wanting to go back in a few years when Emma is older. Ceder Point is only about 20 minutes away and he wants to go during the summer and spend a day at Ceder Point as well. If anybody is interested in checking out their website it is: http://www.kalahariresorts.com/oh/
