Mom and dad came up this weekend and helped us put in a raised garden bed on the side of our house. They brought up the dirt from when Dad and Steve took out the garden at mom and dad's house last fall. It is a 10ft x 5ft bed and around 14 inches tall in total. Hopefully that is high enough to keep the rabbits out.
Emma and I had started some green bean plants, tomato plants, green peppers, and spaghetti squash plants in the house about a month ago. It is early to plant the green beans outside however they were getting to big to have inside so we went ahead and planted them outside. We will just have to see if they live but they were not going to last inside any longer. Also we planted some of the tomato plants outside with milk jugs over them for protection. The spaghetti squash was planted outside last weekend in some pots. Now we just have to wait and see what lives and let the pepper plants get a little bigger before planting them outside as well. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy some fresh veggies this summer.
I had a plastic roll here from a project a couple of years ago so we used it to create a green house of sorts for the green beans so hopefully they will thrive.
Emma had fun putting stickers on grandpa.
There is another post below from today which is Freddy's 4 month checkup.
